DISCLAIMER: I did not use any sort of unlocking software to obtain my unlock code, I simply called customer service and asked them. I do not recommend paying for an unlock code, nor downloading a program that could easily corrupt your computer and/or phone. Customer service will provide you with this code for FREE, as well as the means of entering it. DO NOT BE SCAMMED!

Note: I use AT&T. For unlocking a T-Mobile phone, they tend to be easier to obtain codes from (from what I hear). The only downside is that you must be a T-Mobile customer for a minimum of 90 days, with a history of good-standing payment. They’ve got a few other little reqs, but those are the major ones. Simply give them a call and ask.

If you get a refusal, don’t take no for an answer. They (AT&T) generally aren’t supposed to give out unlock codes right away, but EVERY REPRESENTATIVE IS DIFFERENT. You may have no troubles as I did, you may spend an hour on the phone. It all depends on who you talk to, how you ask, and your history as a customer. Just make sure, no matter what, that they know that YOU know they can and do give out those codes. Just be ready with your IMEI and ask them the process of unlocking the phone, if you don’t already know. Enjoy!

While it’s obviously unlikely that this would happen to most people, it was recently revealed that the FBI has used this technique, and just as illicit wiretaps are possible, illicit cell phone bugging could also occur.

Here is a way to get free ringtones for your iPhone.

NOTE:
-This will work on any iPhone and it DOES NOT have to be JAIL BROKEN for it to work*
-The ringtone has to be 30 seconds or less to work*

-If your having problems or it’s not working, please contact me and I’ll make sure it works for you*

What you will need:
-iTunes

-Any format other than “m4a” (music from iTunes Store) kinda of music.
Ex. Music from Lime wire or Bear Share will work*

1. Open up iTunes and highlight the song you want to create as a ringtone.

2. Right click the song and go to “Get Info”.

3. Determine the which part of the song you want the desired ringtone to start and finish (30 seconds or less)

4. Check both “Start” & “Finish” on the section box and input the “Start” & “Finish” time for your ringtone.

Ex. Start time: 0:00
Finish time : 0:30

4. Create an “ACC VERSION” of the song you chose.

5. Drag the newly created “ACC VERSION” (30 Second) to the desktop.

6. Click on the file to change the extension from “m4a” to “m4r” and a window will pop up, just click YES anyways. So now the file should say that it’s a ringtone now.

7. Double click the ringtone file and it will automatically play and be added in your ringtones section in iTunes and you have just created your own personal ringtone.
