STEPS IN WRITING:

1) menu

5) type in MEPD (you will not see text appear on screen while typing)
6) type in MEP, hold ALT & press 2 (while holding ALT)

TIPS:
To get your IMEI number (on blackberry phones):
1) Press *#06# from the home screen or the call screen
2) Your IMEI number pops right up, you don’t have to call!

A:] No. You cannot use a GSM [phones with a sim card] phone on any CDMA [phones without a sim card] service, nor vice-versa.

A:] IMEI number is *NOT* your MEP code – watch the video again and this time listen.

A:] If you have an AT&T phone, only AT&T can unlock it for you, so call AT&T.
Basically you call the company the phone is made for.

Q:] (Example) I bought an AT&T phone but I have T-mobile service and I want to keep T-mobile. I do not have AT&T service. How do I unlock my phone, because I know that only AT&T can unlock an AT&T phone?
A:]
FACTS:
- you have an AT&T locked phone
- you do not have AT&T service
PROBLEM (DILEMMA):
The problem here is that AT&T still is the only one who can unlock your phone, but they will not unlock your phone if you do not have AT&T service.
SOLUTION:
1) Basically you need to find a friend who has AT&T (or whatever company the phone is made for).
2) Then you ask them to put their sim in your phone.
3) Then you ask them to unlock your phone which has their sim card in it with AT&T.
4) They have to be the one to call since it is their cell phone service.
5) Have them follow the instructions in this video.
7) Take their sim card out of your phone once they have unlocked it
Put your sim card back in your phone
9) Congratulations! You have successfully unlocked your phone. P.S. to do this you need to have friends.

A:] You are a LIAR and are a SCAMMER (a “phone unlocker” scam-artist) and you made that negative comment to try to keep people from unlocking their phone for free so you can STEAL THEIR MONEY by selling them unlock codes or other snake oil. Get a life and stop scamming people and make some honest money for once.
NOTE: dumb comments like “it didn’t work” or “I broke my phone thanks a lot” are written by scammers who want to steal your money by unlocking your phone for money, when you can really unlock your phone for free.
FYI people who are running the scam of “phone unlocking” (a.k.a. “unlockers”) hate me because I am showing you the free way to unlock your phone instead of letting them rip you off, because it is truly free to unlock your phone.
Since this isn’t just some “method” or some BS the unlockers [scammers] want you to believe so they can rip you off your hard-earned money (this video just tells you what to do because unlocking is free, you just need to know what to do), the reality is simply this:
All negative comments are written by people who are actually business owners of “phone unlocking” companies, which are essentially SCAMS, since it is actually FREE to unlock your phone.

Today I will show you a relatively simple process called tethering. It allows you to take a cell phone that has Internet access, and use it on a computer. Example: you’re driving, you get stranded, And your phone’s screen is broken so you really cant text for help ( 911 is also not available) of course this is all just a scenario I’ve made up. You could also be in school without WiFi although you have your phone and a laptop. You simply want to be able to take your phone’s Internet and use it on your laptop. That’s what I’m going to show you how to do… This process is known as “tethering”, as long as you have free cell phone Internet, your bill will not increase in cost. SIMPLE PROOF-YOU CAN MAKE CALLS WITHOUT SIM CARD. Take out your sim card, go to emergency call and dial 911. You will be connected to the police with NO SIM CARD. Now what I did was use the same line to route a call to the outside world. This line also have internet capabilities, hence edge, but this was is way faster. It is used for tracking cell phones and what not.

the glitches are too hard core at the moment including:
not able to sync, phone might turn off randomly and wont turn on without a power cord, camera might disappear, can’t take pictures with camera, will freeze itunes, will at times go into recovery mode and freeze phone. I have been able to work around these but seems to pop up randomnly.

FREE RINGTONES FOR IPHONE USING iTUNES

THIS IS A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RINGTONES ON YOUR IPHONE EDGE OR IPHONE 3G USING ITUNES. THIS WORKS ON ITUNES 7.4 AND OVER. I AM USING ITUNES 8.0. HAVE FUN MAKING YOUR RINGTONES!!!
STEP 1: right click your song of choice, click on “get info”.
STEP 2: click on the “options” tap.
STEP 3: check mark the “start” box and the “stop” box. edit the length of your ringtone and click on “o.k.” NOTE: it should be 29 seconds long. itunes get buggy at 30 seconds.
STEP 4: right click your song again, and then clcik on “create AAC version”.
STEP 5: after the converting is complete, click on the new file located directly below the original song. it should say its 29 seconds long or whatever the length you decided.
STEP 6: right click the new song file, and click on “show in windows explorer”.
STEP 7: edit the file format. change the .m4a to .m4r .
NOTE: if u cant see the file format click on the “tools” tap then click on “folder options” then click on the “view” tap then scroll down and look for “hide extensions for known files” and make sure its UNCHECKED!!! meaning NO CHECK MARK!!!
STEP 8: after you change the extension, drag the file into your itunes library.
STEP 9: connect iphone via usb, go to ringtones section and checkk all your ringtones then sync your iphone.
STEP 10: after sync is complete go into settings/sound/ringtones and it should be in the list.
